Concept

A short video (or pair of videos) making the case for pedestrians over cars and scooters in cities.

  • Pedestrians: give the city character, enjoy/clean up parks, feed animals, buy things ("contributing to the economy — so good, we love capitalism").
  • Cars (contrast): take up space (parked, "fat"), block sidewalks ("squeeze past"), smelly (exhaust), loud, and kill people — overlay with car-fatality stats. Include a shot of Caleb and Jesse screaming at each other at an intersection.
  • Scooters: same critique as cars (space, smell, exhaust, noise, erratic driving, still kill people) but "aren't fat."
  • Joke beat: "but Caleb, are some pedestrians fat?" — response: yes, but not smelly, not loud, don't take up space. Payoff shot: cram as many people as possible into a single parking spot.
  • Second video idea: a mock "instructions on how to walk as a pedestrian."

Status: raw brainstorm, not yet started.
